It is great to be able to look to Christianity Today and see an article like this one. Even though their subscribers constitute a primarily evangelical conservative readership, Christianity Today has really driven home a great article about Why Torture is Always Wrong. Good Job Folks!

There are better reasons than scripture to be against torture.

NO Absolutely not! The problem is many of the people who support this type of thing also go to church on Sunday. They also have an invested interest in what the Bible might have to say about this issue. It is also important because the majority of people I hear quoting the Bible are using it to support the war and "whatever means necessary". I liked this article because it engages these people utilizing the scriptures in a manner that is opposite the way the religious right screams it from the pulpit as well as the political arena. Thanks for the thought I totally agree with you!
